We are in desperate need of foster homes to pull doggies from death row. Stay tuned for pictures and bios of dogs who are in need of a foster home!
Foster homes are always needed in order to save the lives of animals in shelters.
What does a foster do?
Fosters serve as the middle man between the shelter and the animal's forever home. Foster homes teach the animal manners, potty training, and how to socialize with humans and other furry friends.
Do I have to pay for vet care if I foster?
No, the rescue pays for all medical care that the animal needs while in your care. If needed, the rescue will also provide food, toys, and a crate.
How long will I keep my foster?
It all depends on the dog. Some dogs get adopted faster than others. Usually puppies go fast while older dogs are less likely to get adopted fast. The length of stay is usually a couple of months for most dogs.
How do I know fostering is for me?
If you want to help shelter pets out, fostering is the major way that you can do that. Another pro with fostering is if you want a companion but cannot financially afford a lifetime comittment then fostering could be for you.
What do I have to do to be a foster?
If interested in fostering please fill out the application located below. If you pass the application process then a home visit will be conducted. All animals in our care have to be kept INSIDE at all times except for normal play time outside. Fenced in yards are great but are not required. Exceptions will be made in certain situations. Also, all personal animals must stay inside, be UTD on shots, on HW prevention, and spayed/neutered!
How do I know which animal will fit in with my home?
A representative of the rescue will place the animal they feel will fit in most comfortably with your lifestyle.
